How much do the Zaptz Ezyapp cost?
Save up to 50% on alternative packaging and application management costs. Every Zaptz Ezyapp costs the same irrespective of the application type or complexity. This enables you to easily manage project budgets as the application packaging costs are known in advance.
One Ezyapp is created per single application or update. You may use the resultant Ezyapp on any machine that the application is licensed for.
Naturally the more machines you are distributing to the more cost effective Ezyapp are per machine. However even a single application installed on one machine has an excellent return on investment. This is because you inherit the deployment, self healing, zero conflicts and uninstall capabilities plus total cost of ownership benefits for the whole lifetime of that application.

What are the benefits of outsourcing to Zaptz?
Our clients find that it is not as much an outsourcing decision but more a partnership decision. Zaptz provide many additional benefits to normal packaging and solve several IT issues. Inhouse, or other packaging resources, could never achieve application packages with the same level of robustness and features within the same timeframe. Zaptz frees up your internal resources to focus on operational projects whilst guaranteeing software packages of superior quality and complete automation.

Do I need to purchase any hardware or software to implement Zaptz technology?
NO! The great benefit of Zaptz Ezyapp is that it will work with any existing infrastructure. You do not need to purchase deployment servers for Zaptz Ezyapp to work for you. Nor do you need to purchase development software to maintain or manage your Ezyapp. You can easily throw your Zaptz Ezyapp with any number of deployment mechanisms, including:
What is the Zaptz Ezyapp process?
Everything is automated and guided by our Zaptz online customer portal. Register and login to your portal and you'll be guided through the simple 4 step process to send and receive your applications as a Zaptz Ezyapp. As you are aware a Ezyapp can be provided in either advanced MSI; Microsoft SoftGrid, VMWare Thinstall or Symantec Altiris Software Virtualisation Solutions (SVS).
No documentation is required = the whole process is governed from our website. Simply upload your information via you customer portal. You will be notified when your package is available for download from your portal.
Do I need to document the install procedures as part of the Discovery process?
NO! We provide you with tools to capture the install procedure save you the time and effort required to document this process.
How do I deliver my application requests?
Simple. This is all through your online customer portal.
Do you cater for international clients?
YES! The beauty of our technology and customer portal is that we currently create Zaptz Ezyapp and provide support for international clients. The process is the same whether you are in Europe, United States or locally in Australasia.
YES! In most cases we do not need access to these resources in order to successfully 'zap' you application to a Zaptz Ezyapp. In the event that we do require to package onsite we have a very secure means to remotely connect to your network, with your authorisation.
This is achieved through the same Webex remote control tools that we use for support or consultancy (zaptz.webex.com).
Can you package hardware drivers to a Zaptz Ezyapp?
YES! The advantages of 'zapping' hardware drivers is that you now have an easy means to deploy and uninstall drivers which could not previously be easily achieved.
We also use our technology to successfully virtualise hardware drivers. This is the case for both Microsoft SoftGrid bubbles and Altiris SVS layers. This cannot be done natively without using Ezyapp or similar technology.
Can I deploy my Zaptz Ezyapp with Logon Scripts or Group Policy Startup Scripts?
YES! One of the main benefits of Zaptz Ezyapp is the ability to throw them via Logon or Startup Scripts. You cannot do this with traditional MSI or other application installs easily because the second time the machine runs the script it tries to reinstall the application, interrupting the user.
Our Zaptz Ezyapp overcomes this issue, providing an easy way for you to deploy the application file every time.
YES! This is acheived by sending a Zaptz Ezyapp which temporarily disables the disk protection just before installing the main application Ezyapp. As soon as the main Zaptz Ezyapp has installed a post Zaptz Ezyapp is used to re-enable the hard disk protection. This procedure is all bundled up into the one "Zaptz Ezyapp.exe" file making deployment a breeze.
What are Zaptz Healing locations?
Zaptz advanced self healing is achieved through providing up to four Zaptz healing locations. Traditionally MSI applications can only heal themselves if the original source (from where it was installed) is available. This is often an issue particularly for mobile laptop users.
Zaptz Ezyapp makes you application bulletproof as this issue never arises. You can specify these desired healing locations at time of packaging or change them after the application has been deployed.
Our advanced healing also ensures that your application will work for every user who logs onto that machine. This advanced functionality also improves deployment success rates as you can now deploy applications whether the user is logged in or not.
Where did the brand name Zaptz Ezyapp come from?
In the old days Zaptz used to analogise a legacy application install as a comet. They were very hard to control, they crashed on your machine, and you did not know what the impact was. When you removed the comet / application there was always debris left behind. Similarly, a legacy application was like an octopus where the tentacles hooked into the operating system and other applications.
What Zaptz does is remove the tentacles and debris leaving the core centre behind. There was a brief period where we called our products red balls (the red core centre of a comet), however red has danger connotations associated with it.
Hence the name, Zaptz Ezyapp, which sybolise their reliability, stability and intelligence - and our loyalty.
